Look at this fucker. I definitely spent waaaaaay too much money but I am now full in with an aluminum profile rig, a set of nice ass pedals with haptics, a 1992 accord seat i yoinked in a junkyard, and a used Accuforce V2 I snagged off some forums lol.

It feels fuckin crazy moving up from a 6 year old g29.

I am the racecar master.

Any other drivers here?

Needs a VR headset. For me its pretty much mandatory, in 2d even with hundreds of hours racing i still crash into walls and misjudge corners and with VR that problem just disappears and I suddenly just start cornering perfectly.

Currently playing lots of GT7 and Dirt Rally. Dirt Rally is my comfort game, when I play I enter a trance and forget the universe exists. Can't wait for the racenet servers to be shut off rendering it unplayable!!!!

I just got into dirt 2 last week and I've already clocked 25 hours! I play with my quest pro with a rig pretty close to this, but I don't have a screen. Tho I kinda want to set one up just to make it easier to have my friends try it out.

I actually do race in VR on a reverb g2, the screen is there just in case for fidgeting with setting or whatever. In this case I was Watching the fights while mounting the wheel lol. It's on an arm so I swing it over to my desk when I'm not racing. Bout to also mount a 65" kinda busted but definitely viable TV to my wall to put live timings for WEC races on!

I actually have hundreds of hours in DR 2.0 on controller, as I don't have a handbrake/sequential shifter yet so I don't feel totally comfortable. Done a little bit of richard burns rally though and that shit is wild lol.

At least there's EA WRC after dr2.0...too bad it runs like dogwater lol.

Bought WRC yesterday but haven't downloaded it yet. Whats the prognosis doc will it run on a 3080?

I don't think it has VR support yet? I picked it up a few months ago and returned it when I realized it didn't have VR support.

Apparently it got added in April, has a separate launch option for VR. Will try it out

I have a 3080 also, so let me know how it runs.

Wow that was bad. 2d it runs fine on ultra preset but in VR it chugs. Managed to run smoothly on medium preset but then the game looks cursed and lower fidelity than dirt rally 1.

Even on ultra the graphics just look weird. Granted it was rainy but it just looks wonky.

Might see if i can tweak it but first impressions aren't great.

Edit: So i tried all three games just to compare, WRC is by far the worst presentation, it looks like the TAA doesnt actually render with depth so adds this weird shimmer in front of everything, game is blurry as hell. Dirt rally 1 and 2 look great in comparison idk wtf they did but it aint good. Played all settings on high, DLSS set to quality (doesnt look that different to off), foveated rendering set to 1. Just looks really bad

Well that's disappointing. Thanks for the feedback. I don't think I'll be wasting my time with it yet. I'll just keep playing dirt 2 and give them some time to work it out.
