So, I've been wondering, how faithful is the show to the comic book? Because the comic book came out in 2006-2012.
It's much better. I swing between thinking it's good and thinking it's leaning too much into shock gore, but whatever I think of it on its own merits, it's much much better than the comic
Not very much to be quite honest
it isnt really, besides using some character names + basic plots, but also better for it lol. garth ennis really likes edgy/shocking stuff and in the boys (the comic) he tries so hard to be edgy and shocking that it just gets boring. i think the show balances out the shock humor much better
The show is widely considered a flat-out improvement I think
Not very. It's a lot better.
it's nowhere near as mean-spirited
