The volume should be at 0, that’s how loud it’s intended to be. Fuck the neighbors.

I do agree, volume levels should be displayed and adjusted in decibels, straight assed numbers with no actual corresponding scale are asinine. I will die on this hill.

And the decibels should be relative to the reference level, otherwise it’s still meaningless.

Right. 0 is reference and you can apply positive or negative gain.
