And yet I doubt anyone has heard of a washer (or phone) catching fire that wasn't made by Samsung. Why are you defending them?
I'm not, it's just that a lot of electronics and particularly bad ones catch fire.
Well I'm not sure what you call a lot, but I'd expect the percentage of cheap knockoff garbage to still be pretty low but I expect a huge company like Samsung to be much, much closer to zero.
