Deliverance is fucking WILD. Another one that I was like “ehhh it’s no Blackwater Park” when it came out and after a few listens I’m like “MASTAPIECE”

Title track is insane. I was so juked when they played all 10+ minutes of Deliverance, left the stage, came back, and Mikael said something like “for our actual final track:

…BLACK

…ROSE

…no I am kidding we are playing Blackwater Park

10/10 tho

I love his deadpan humor so much! The only artist who has made me laugh more is Devin* Townsend when he was performing with Strapping Young Lad. Very different humor style though hahaha

On yeah! Saw Devy solo with Gojira 12 or so years ago and he was hilarious. Had the whole crowd doing jazz hands during Animals among other things.

I didn't get it the first time I saw SYL (with Fear Factory forever ago) but at that solo show I was all in and have been a huge fan since.

I went to the SYL/Fear Factory tour as well! I wish I remembered more of the things he said. The only comment I remember is something about the crowd like “AH, AND IT’S NOT JUST A SAUSAGE FEST, EITHER—THERE ARE PRECISELY THIRTY-SEVEN BREASTS!”

Damn, come to think of it, I saw him solo 12 years ago as well… are you me?

I had tickets to see him in early 2020, that I bought in 2019 D: The piece of shit ticket sales place wouldn’t refund our tickets and just kept saying “no just wait it’s just postponed” even after I told them IT PANDEMIC WORLD I AM NOT GOING TO A CROWD EITHER WAY

first chargeback I’ve ever done.

Haha. Sounds like you have great taste. We had tickets for that 2020 tour as well and had a similar experience. Damn greedy corpos.
