The Q brained conspiracy theorists are aging boomers slipping into dementia. As their brain is melting out of their ears, they're miss-remembering episodes of the x files. That's it. If you watch the series, there's a piece of every conspiracy theory in it.

If q was just boomer brainmelt then why did all of it pretty much disappear over night. It was definitely a targeted operation. They knew these people would believe anything if its something they already agreed with and made them think they were channeling some mysterious truth.
Once their funding dried up the probably moved on to more immediate issues in Gaza.
