letsgo bins are now a free source of 18650 cells for my thinkpad battery??

Not sure what a letsgo bin is, but the batteries used by good vapes are nipple-less 18650s. The disposables just have soldered in li-ion batteries, like these but smaller https://cdn.littlebird.com.au/images/files/000/049/461/large/AF-354.jpg?1535766057
