You will wait for at least a year. There still is no support for my M2 laptop.

No problem, I intend to use MacOS, but it’s nice to know that I can flip it over to Linux once it’s no longer getting support from apple.

Well, I think it's fine for the not-so-near future. They are known to support their hardware for quite a long time. I even suspect that before their support ends, there will be some other groundbreaking new hardware.

Yeah, I plan to get a new macbook soon. I will not put linux on it until I get another computer to replace it. Or if ever my work apps work with linux. I typically keeps computers for at least 6 years before upgrading, so I bet M2 or M3 would be supported by then.
