Kingsfield 2 and 4 take top spot for me, calm and cool tracks I can listen to over and over. As good as the post mike wazowski fromsoft music is after a while the loud orchestral stuff kinda blends into each other and becomes quite grating over time. Its good ingame in the setting or boss fight but i dont like listening to it independently.

Older fromsoft music is peak and a lot of their older games are in my top 10 game music.

Armored core 1: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL48C29B22778C558A

Then there's the Nier replicant ost which dominates everything ever: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTSayM5g0IpZB3XGGIHAbvZgJtqL6WN76

Dmc 1,3,4,5 and metal gear rising all good.

Silent hill and signalis if I'm in the mood.

Morrowind my favorite soundtrack to actually get work done. There was an article about how Jeremy Soule designed it to be good, but not overpowering because of its repetition.

The size of the game influenced my style because I knew the music would be heard over and over and over again. And so it was a very cautious decision. The minimalism that people describe in Morrowind and Oblivion was very intentional, and for me it was one of these things where I tried to paint in soft tones so the ear wouldn’t get worn out playing the game for 100 hours.
