I braved looking at Elon’s stupid fucking face again to look at the article and it’s WAY worse than the headline suggests. They’re literally advertising a voter registration form that selectively registers you to vote based on which state you live in. If you live in a battleground state, it forces you through a lengthy form full of detailed (unnecessary) data collection then doesn’t even register you to vote. This is basically fraud.

To be fair, if someone is still using Xitter, it’s only a matter of time before they get screwed. Not in a good way.

100%, but this is an ad running on Google.

[-] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

Ugh. Even worse.

I could see that backfiring. The only people still listening to that fuckstick are right wingers. So right wingers in battleground states are going to be most affected.

Edit: Double checked and it’s an ad that has Trumps face on it so my point stands. Only people clicking trumps face willingly are right wingers

Maybe it’s mistargeted, dumb fraud, but it’s still fraud. What kind of shitty, worthless human says “let’s offer help to register to vote but misdirect some of the audience?” I don’t care who you are, that’s just the work of a sociopathic piece of shit.

Oh I agree that it’s still fraud, just pointing out it’s bumbling stupid fraud.

I believe he's either being sued or investigated for fraud now

I hope he gets crushed and forced to donate $500m to Fair Fight or a nonpartisan voter registration nonprofit chosen by the court.
