It was literally a team event and one of the things that makes the bit funny is how “he” won silver. In fact, that’s the entire thing this story hinges on, performing well.

In a team event.

Nice self-reporting your misogyny though, and I’m sorry your mind fails to draw a single independent conclusion from this meme.

This isn't me being misogynistic but had his teammate done better they'd have won gold, she brought the score down, he actually shot better than both of the winners.

This is not to say she wasn't qualified for this, in fact I believe her previous track record is better than his

When I shot in highschool it was a team event while also individual. So your team's score is the summation of the individuals scores (pre-finals).

(Finals is like an extra portion for the top few competitors. Your score in finals is added and that's your total. It was added to make the sport more spectator friendly. When I shot it was just 10 extra shots but shortly after I stopped it was changed to top 8 shooting one shot at a time and lowest shot gets eliminated. I believe this is still the case based on pictures I saw of the two finalists shooting side by side alone.)

~~So it's possible he won silver as individual and the team didn't win or also got silver. I haven't actually looked into the Olympic rules or results but that's how it was when I shot competitively.~~

Edit: Looks like 10 meter air pistol categories individual men, individual women, and mixed team are all run at different times. So it was only as a team that they won silver. I don't know about the individual results of the team competition, but regardless it wouldn't have earned a medal. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_at_the_2024_Summer_Olympics
