Besthesda games are bad but heavily modded Bethesda games are good
People say this but if there wasn't a good base for mods to built off on then there wouldn't be an extensive modding scene.
A good base for mods to build off of does not make a good game
I mean i don't even like skyrim but pretending that there wasn't something there that people found appealing is just plain contarianism.
Vanilla Oblivion or F3 is better than vanilla Skyrim though.
Vanilla Obivion is just on the wrong side of my personal "too fuck ugly to play" line
But skyrim isnt different strokes...
Funny enough I think both Morrowind and Skyrim look better than Oblivion. GFX wise I personally thought Oblivion was ugly even back at release.
Its character models are definitely... something I respect the attempt at facial animation for the time at least. Also the draw distance on 360 is ass!
Yeah Morrowinds chars dont look great but I can vibe with them. Oblivion chars look like joke chars someone makes in dark souls char gen.
The birth of joke Dark Souls characters really
Just barely on the right side of that line
