Huh....didn't know that that memorial was a thing or that we were invited; why on earth would you invite the criminals who conducted it?

From what I have gathered Japan has been very subservient to the US since WW2 end. They had become an American vassal state and America had significant control over them. Even stuff like anime and manga were censored when they contained explicit anti-war themes.
