Keep it related to Monster Hunter. Plain and simple. If it's questionable, be ready to back it up.
๐ Respect Your Fellow Hunters
Greenhorns or oldhats, we all start somewhere in the series. Everyone is welcome.
No racism, bigotry, flaming, trolling, or any other behavior unbecoming of a guild hunter. We're here to play and discuss Monster Hunter with like-minded folks, act like it.
No "game shaming": This isn't a place for title vs title arguments. Take that to steam forums or elsewhere. Compare/contrast mechanics between games, discuss what worked or didn't and how. Devolving into flame wars of "MHX sucks, gib more MHY" will not be tolerated.
No "off-meta" shaming: having fun playing the game is the meta. Discuss strats, builds, and give suggestions, but that's all they are, suggestions.
๐ Original Art Only
No AI art: too easy to spam, too low effort.
Attribute original artists with links, watermarks, and mentions where available. If you don't know the source, say so.
If an internet sleuth finds a poster cribbing others' art as their own, that's a bannable offense.

I have never been a try hard in any game, let alone MH. But I am immediately turned off by the tracer and auto-targeting focus mode stuff. They just keep messing with my bow too much in these mainline titles for personal taste.
The only homing projectiles are from focus mode. With focus mode, you literally opt in to mess up with your bow, and it wouldn't make sense to focus head and shoot forearm, for example.
I guess you missed the tracer shot bit then? And I legitimately cannot understand what your second sentence means.
Tracer shot makes arrows temporarily home in until tracer explodes. Arrows after that still shoot where you crosshair points. My point is you don't activate all the homing mechanics you don't like until you activate focus mode, and it only stays temporarily. You can totally just not use it, or use it less often
same was said about clutch claw tenderizing and we see how that ended up. Both the bowguns just got focused reticles, so why would I expect magic archer mechanics for bow? Oh well.
I guess this will just make it accessible to a wider audience, but me and the mainline bow guy just don't jive. Looks like plenty of other weapons to try out at least.
If you see the problem in that scope, it's the same as CC, wirebug/silkbind moves, or even hunting art and so on. To me, it looks like the "magic archer move" is just flashy and doesn't have practical use after all, and the tracer shot is not bad considering it still shoots the monster, and it does the aiming for you so why not. I guess your best bet is hope there is skill switch mechanic that doesn't mess up your bow much
