That's some awful website design.
I think it’s pretty good for what it’s trying to do, which is relay scientific data to non-technical readers.
It's a fairly standard format for news articles to be in.
That doesn't make it any less awful.
Thankfully, a lot of browsers have a reader mode to undo such sins.
No it's not.
