I think the dumb aspect of this is part of the joke
Especially because even the structure of the joke has inherent flaws.
His wife would be Mrs.Information, unless they somehow already had the same last name.
Poorly constructed, but oily and leering is 100% Boomerhumor
Ms. is fine. It's the equivalent of Mr., gendered but without implying anything about martial status. It's distinct from Mrs. and Miss.
