This movie was so good, there won’t be anything like it ever again.
Is it? I've watched the movie 2017 and was awful
Genre defining movie for cyberpunk along with several animation tropes. Belongs up there with Blade Runner, Robocop, Total Recall, Akira etc.
Without Ghost in the Shell there would be no Matrix.
EDIT: The 1995 one obviously.
The live action one though? yikes
Yeah lol. I'm talking about 1995 here.
watch the original
I definitely will!
I wouldn't say it's awful, but I think the GITS movie is overrated.
The first season of the anime though, holy shit that's good.
I was pretty disappointed by GitS SAC, especially the ending where
spoiler
it's revealed that Section 9 being pursued by the cops was all part of the plan and everyone lived. Like, I'm 99% sure they killed cops and that other cops said, to their faces, that they'd kill them?S2 is worse and is mostly open copaganda.
All of the stuff I thought I remembered as being good in 2nd Gig was actually all first season episodes lmao.
Solid State Society is pretty good, but not amazing. Since it's the SAC movie, I feel like a lot of people overlook it.
I was curious and always wanted to see it. Why did I watch the movie? I didn't know there was an anime about it
I've found the "Stand alone complex" but the first one.. Need more research
