IF you want to switch to an alternative instance use the tool Lasim to synchronize your accounts: synchronize subscriptions, settings and/or blocks. Tool is available for Windows, Linux and MacOs.

Do you know of a way for those of us only on mobile to move subs over?

[-] m3t00@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

just pick another instance and create another account. same email. not complicated. can't migrate stuff you can't get to, meh lemmy instances fediverse.observer

Thanks, I know how to create a new account on a new server, I just hoped for an easy way to move all my subs.

Just tried macOS. Didn’t work.

Probably because lemmy.world is down again.

Wait for lemmy.world to be back up and try again. If you can't login on the web, the tool won't be able to login either.

Oh that's a pity. Switched from lemmy.world to feddit.nl flawlessly today. Using Windows though.

[-] TokenBoomer@beehaw.org 2 points 2 years ago

My MAC wouldn’t let me run the .exe because of security. Am I supposed to bypass security?

[-] The_Worst@feddit.nl 8 points 2 years ago

Did you download the zip for MacOS? Exe is only for Windows I believe?

And I don't know if you are supposed to bypass security. I only have very limited Mac experience.

[-] TokenBoomer@beehaw.org 2 points 2 years ago

I may try again later. I have a windows pc I can try it on.

As tea@lemmy.today said, make sure www.lemmy.world is online. If you cant visit www.lemmy.world then the tool won't work either.
