its a war within the middle class, they see the others and migrants as leeches and would rather give money to "true American patriots" than to themselves
Also, they see the levy charged to them by their country for using its stuff to make money as bad, despite all the schools, roads etc that it pays for.
However, they see the levy changed to them by the shareholders of the company they work for using their stuff to make money as good, despite it giving them nothing in return.
Imo, the greatest piece of mass brainwashing in history.
