As the local purveyor of sovcittery on Lemmy, sovereign citizens have definitely increased. Qanon is largely to thank for that.
In some ways it's no different that the Libertarians i see who have never registered their vehicles in my neighborhood. I still see 2019 and 2020 temp plates on the regular. What you can get away with if you have a driveway.
Oh wow I didn't know that was a thing. In Ontario where I live they got rid of the year stickers so all of them are out of date.
