Good, I realized cursors weren't vectorized when using the cursor shake feature

[-] Cornflake_Dog@lemmy.wtf 36 points 1 month ago

Shaking my mouse "Haha this is so cool, look at it get bigger!" Continues shaking until the cursor takes up a quarter of my screen "Dear God what have I done."

[-] emax_gomax@lemmy.world 15 points 1 month ago

Sounds like you used the system as advertised. If anything I'm disappointed you didn't go bigger.

I have, never fix this. It's a fidget spinner built in..

[-] DarkThoughts@fedia.io 6 points 1 month ago

It's not a bug.

"Every time I shake my mouse the curser gets bigger" sounds like a BeamNG drive youtube video.

The Breeze one seems to scale smoothly. I noticed because I switched to a different one, but then noticed how it got super pixelated, which made me switch back.

in the article it says they did a temporary workaround for the breeze cursor. (shipping 100mb worth of cursor sizes)

[-] Dark_Arc@social.packetloss.gg 6 points 1 month ago

Man that's certainly a strategy...

They said the workaround was shipping the large cursors in a separate, compressed image format. To avoid specifically that.
