More like, a US Presidential Candidate called an American a Mexican and it's the media's responsibility to report the truth.
I appreciate you bringing this up, but it still boggles my mind that we make any differentiation at all of someone's worth based on where they are born.
It's just fun to throw back in their faces that they hate americans.
They're not real Americans.

While it shouldn’t affect their worth overall, it’s entirely reasonable for citizenship and military service should affect how much a specific country is willing to spend memorializing someone
Citizenship and military service are a different topic than someone's national origin or ethnicity.
