I'm fat and I'm not offended, either. However, I'd prefer that criticisms - no matter which way they're aimed - are about the character of the target. I don't care if my representative is fat, thin, or non corporeal; I just want them to be a good representative. Any mockery of the person should, IMHO, focus on how they're likely to vote or act, not how they look.
