Our rabbit’s “sitting in a field of french fries” would be the cat’s food. If she can figure out a way to reach it she’ll eat the whole bowl.

Doubtful. Cats eat the center and then act like the bowl is empty.

my cat doesn't like cramming her snout in the edges of the bowl so after she's eaten I'll scrape whay she left to the moddle and she'll come back and eat more.

helps her pace herself I figure. She's a scarf n' barfer.

I read that it's because they don't like their whiskers touching the edge of the bowl, which seems plausible.

and I mean, here's a popcorn bowl full of stir fry. tie your hands behind your back and chow down.
