Summary

In Wayne County, Arab American precincts rejected Kamala Harris, with Biden receiving 82% of the vote in 2020 and Harris only 23% in 2024.

Trump’s outreach to Arab American and Muslim communities, including visits to Dearborn and Hamtramck, contributed to his increased support.

Harris’s performance in Dearborn, where she received only 13% of the vote in the south end, reflects the backlash against Biden’s handling of foreign policy in the Middle East.

I'll be watching how this bold strategy plays out in Gaza.

Oh, this is a shocking turn of events.

To clarify, this is not a new quote. However, this is the new Ambassador to Israel, I'm given to understand.

Shit, theyre gonna start bombing gaza and murdering women and children when Trumps inaugurated

We are at genocide. Now. Someone else tried coming up with the term 'super genocide' because whatever democrats are responsible for cant be that bad, trump has to be worse. And since we're already at genocide, it has to be worse than genocide. Like we are currently at excusable genocide, doesnt count genocide, only technically genocide. Itll only be a crime against humanity once Trump is bombing women and children. I cant wait to see the headlines of hospitals getting hit with US missiles and people like you going "see? Its worse!"

[-] MagicShel@lemmy.zip -1 points 2 weeks ago

Oh it'll get worse. Let's watch. Can't do anything else at this point.

[-] kreskin@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

But that would make Trump a war criminal, and the US public would not stand for that, no sir they wont! They would rise up and march in the streets until that genocide stopped!

[-] davidagain@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago

The West Bank. That's where they're going to start. As announced. Because of Trump winning.

[-] blazera@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Start? You aint been payin attention, theyve been actively occupying there long before the gaza invasion.

[-] davidagain@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

They've been occupying it of course, but they haven't started carpet bombing it yet like they're doing to Gaza.

[-] Maggoty@lemmy.world -5 points 2 weeks ago

There is no higher level of Genocide. The worst is already happening. Get the fuck out with this bad faith take.

[-] MagicShel@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 weeks ago

So naive. Let's see what happens.

[-] Maggoty@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago

Ah yes, I must be naive. It can't be that you're wrong about the already existing levels of death.

[-] MagicShel@lemmy.zip 0 points 2 weeks ago

Pretty sure it'll get worse, but let's see. Maybe Israel has achieved maximum misery from which things literally can't get worse. I'm betting not, but we'll see.

[-] davidagain@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago

There's genociding the West Bank as well as Gaza, as currently suggested now that Trump has won. You might not see a difference between 40% and 100%, but your joint winners Netanyahu and Trump do. You sure showed Harris there.

[-] Maggoty@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago

You think they weren't fucking up the West Bank already? You haven't been paying attention.

[-] davidagain@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago

You can't even bring yourself to admit that the announcement of extending the kind of carpet bombing we've seen in Gaza to the West Bank is a bad thing.

[-] Maggoty@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Of course that would be a bad thing. Are we really at the point where we have to declare that bad things are bad things? But the Biden administration would have greenlit it too as long as Bibi said there was Hamas there.

[-] davidagain@lemmy.world -1 points 2 weeks ago

Yes, sorry, you're right, every piece of bad news about Trump is actually about Harris. My mistake.
