I’d love to see your sources on that. Because all the definitions I’ve seen go further.
The shortest one relies on examples: https://cari.institute/aesthetics/cassette-futurism
The venerable and verborrhagic TVTropes: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CassetteFuturism
A fandom wiki: https://aesthetics.fandom.com/wiki/Cassette_Futurism
By your definition, Ferris Bueler’s day off is a cassette futurism movie. I don’t think even you agree with that.
r/CassetteFuturism allow Commodore or any other 70s or 80s tech. Even Fandom wiki shows NES and Gameboy.
So Ferris Bueler is in?
Movie? I don't think so. It look normal does it have any Sci-Fi or Techy scene?
It fits your definition. So where do you draw the line?
I mean I didn't saw that movie? Does it have any techy things? Like computer related or anything like that.
Forget the movie. Where do you draw the line?
I mean I judge it. If any computer which run Windows is not Casssette Futurism like IBM I guess?
Why Windows? Which versions of Windows? What about non computers? You’re evading the question, which is: you admit your definition is insufficient, so how do you update it?
I mean if a computer can run Windows like 95 or so. Like 90s IBM Computers.
I judge it myself for my posts. Like a Building Which have minimal and sleek design then it's not Cassette Futurism or a Playstation 1. Phone like old Nokia. Or any thing which have Cyberpunk feel like Cyber Implants.
which is: you admit your definition is insufficient, so how do you update it?
I admit that I made meaning of Cassette Futurism broader. I will not edit it though for future members. So, They can see this.
I don’t get what you’re saying at all. Is your definition supposed to be a declaration of what you think it’s true without any repercussions for anyone in this community? Or is it supposed to mean anything at all for everyone else?
OK, I am gonna remove it. But I am not making stuff I see Gameboy on Fandom wiki and Lots of Commodre PC on r/cassettefuturism.
