The bear name for those stars predates the ancient Greeks.

There's no known origin. It's present in languages of people that were separated at least 13000 years ago.

It is as if one day you're in the mall, and you feel a little hungry for tikka masala, but your friend who is an absolute legend and your brother, asks if you want chicken tandoori instead and you say "haan let us eat it"

Yesterday some uptown girl commented on my ruggy full beard, so today I wore my beard again, because I don't really give a fuck about her opinion.

Fuckin space garbage is what it is.

Yes it was impressive that they landed a rocket again once, but the quantity of launches and satellites is doing nothing good for anyone. It should've been a stepping stone for better technology, but instead they're just mining money. Privately owned space engineering is a disgrace to humanity.

Space engineering used to unite even the worst opponents as with the international space station, but now those institutions are underfunded, while billionaire space-musk can shoot his loads into the atmosphere without any regard to the rest of the worlds population living inside said sphere.

Tax the asshole already.

How do I best view tabs from pages like ultimate guitar and others on a phone browser, so that the chords and lyrics match up? I know on pc they usually show up fine in notepad or with ASCII fixed sys font, but I can't quite figure out how to set it up for easy browsing on an android phone. I tried copying it to other apps but none of them have a fixed width font.

How do you do it?

The misstep was embarrassing for Johnson because the requirement to bring photo ID is a stipulation of the Elections Act which he introduced in 2022 while still in Downing

It's not the onion, because you can't make this shit up.

It's sickening how everything is suddenly "unconstitutional" since the supreme court turned republican.

It's silly how everything has to be according to a 200+ year old document, and how the interpretation of that document is arbitrarily changing at the whim of certain political influences.

The US labor board has existed for 100+ years, and now it's supposedly unconstitutional? Shut up.

Maybe he's right.

Billie Joe has been married to the same woman for more than 30 years. That's a lot more family value than the MAGA idol ever managed in any of his several marriages.

Green Day also didn't encourage people to attack the Capitol, unlike the "patriot" MAGA idiots.

It's a low bar, but Green Day is a lot more respectful and respectable, even by their own definitions.

I am restoring an old chest and while removing a cover under the lid I found this label. As you can see, it's completely undecipherable except for "***halle & co." However there's another label underneath it. I wonder if I can separate them by putting it in water (like stamps off an envelope), but I'm afraid of destroying it if it has any value whatsoever.

The chest is made of wood and metal, but it's in a horrible state. Hinges and screws have been replaced prior to my owning, and the wood is damaged. I plan on restoring it, but would like to know it's history. Judging by materials and the label, I recon this is from 1900-1940s and American.

I miss written tutorials. I hate how every tutorial is a YouTube now. I don't want to watch 15 minutes and forget to pay attention for the second that has the detail that I am missing or it just doesn't show. Even short tutorials are 3 minutes when it could have been a ten second read. I want to skim a page and go directly to the point. Has writing really become that hard to do?
