It seems like he manipulated the crowd after they'd arrived, but I couldn't find anything that suggests they advertised it as straight pride or anything other than a cage match to specifically draw in homophobes and bigots as you suggested.
How so?
What I read it was at the county Fair and this flyer was the promotion:
Card benefits include:
Less likely to be shot by police
Children less likely to be punished for similar misbehaviors by black kids in school
Less likely to be under diagnosed by a doctor
Less likely to be denied
Better home appraisal than a black or Latino person would get for the same house
*Additional benefits if you apply for the Premium Right-wing tier of government that will allow us to deregulate the laws currently requiring us to treat people of color equally!
This is where my brain went, too. Even looking at this Lemmy thread. 6 of the 10 most upvoted top level comments (including THE most upvoted) are "not meee", "not alllll men", defensive crap or "well she should have just..." and "even men have to deal with it toooo" like damn. We ARE fucked.
Yeah I'm deleting this. Not comfortable with what I said based off a "few people I know"
So this is another example of The Onion being way too close to the truth
The Art of the Deal: Lose constantly, but keep telling everyone you won
The video is typically titled "Aldrin punches conspiracy theorist" but it should include "Punches whiney, obnoxious, harassing moron" to help this guy find his place in history.
The cherry on top is that the court did not pursue assault charges citing that it was instigated. I read it as "deserved"
Most of the right side of the "parking lot" is a public boat launch and RV Park/Dump location not related to SeaWorld. Another part of it is walled off facility storage (it has shipping containers) and SeaWorld company vehicle parking.
Everything to the left of the SeaWorld is unrelated parking for other businesses (one of them being a SeaWorld corporate building) and a marina.
Still a shitload of parking, but a very very misleading Facebook or whatever bullshit post
I, for one, have never even heard this
I read this somewhere else on Lemmy recently (sorry for comment steal):
American companies that are trying to dismantle unions need to understand that unions were a compromise to protect the companies. Because this is the alternative.
If a tree falls in the forest, and nobody is left alive to hear it, does it make a sound?
