Real debrid helped me download torrents that had 0 seeds when I tried in any. More than once.

Sad to see them go.

Are you a teacher by any chance? Sounds like school justice where the one provoking is always innocent.

Is there a consensus on how to run Steam and games isolated from the main system? I've seen Flatpak mentioned in some Reddit post but I'm not sure how good the separation is. Everything about Flatpak sounds like an early work in progress, but I can be convinced otherwise.

I don't trust Steam or the closed source games at all. Currently I've got a second disk with a separate system for gaming, but I very rarely have the motivation to reboot. I want to game more (and spend less time on social media) but compromising my main OS is out of the question. Stuff in the home directory should be isolated from the games. Ideally no network access too, but Steam will not work in that case.

If someone has seen a ready made guide I'd be happy to read it. Any tips would be nice too.

I'm really surprised that military in such a technologically advanced country just connected random IP cams to the internet

When did you grow up that Gates has not been evil yet? All of the 90s was marked by Microsoft making home computing worse to create a monopoly. Fucking emails formatted in a way that's unreadable outside Windows, closed .doc format that became a de facto standard in offices and likely many other things I don't remember

XMPP. It just works, requires very little resources, is stable and has decent clients.

I would go with Snikket instead of Prosody if I had been starting now.

Conversations on phones, Dino or Gajim on PCs, plus a conversejs install on the xmpp server, to allow web access when needed.

Conversations is easy for the family to figure out.

It is very good test for the ability to research, I think. The amount of people who painstakingly went through some video tutorial on PHP and are now developers is insane. I'm sure there's place in the market for them (writing Wordpress themes/plugins, for example), but it's hard to find a programmer with ability to think these days. Not because people are more stupid, but because every other person is a programmer now.

Now another 7 years and 24 "please rebase this old code" requests before it's merged
