Earliest game I can think of would be Super Metroid, with it's X-Ray Scanner, which is an upgrade you get partway through the game. It's not 100% necessary, but some of the game's secrets are designed with it in mind.

The Metroid Prime games implemented an FPS version of this pretty well. Really contributed to the atmosphere in some places. Also, while the visors let you see otherwise invisible things, they also made other things harder to see (or, in the case of the scanning visor, you couldn't shoot while it was on.)

Is the debate being simulcast on all the major networks? I seem to remember seeing the Trump/Harris debate on ABC, CBS and NBC (just with different talking heads before and after).

If so, ABC should broadcast the debate with fact-checking overlays (Pop-up video style?) and advertise the shit out of the fact that they'll be doing this.

Why doesn't someone just fork it and change the name?

Like, I dunno, "Super Human Image Treatment" or "Consistently Lovely Image Treatment Oriented for Real Imaging Stars"

I hope SNL get Steve Martin to play him.

It's not density, it's mass. A mass of 1kg compressed to the density of the Sun's core would pull the Earth with just as much force as a 1kg ball of styrofoam.

You can do that today. Just ask Chat-GPT to write you a bash script for something non-obvious, and then debug what it gives you.

I only take medicine when the symptoms literally prevent me from functioning or threaten my life. With fever, I actually wrap myself up to keep warm, which lets my body "rest" instead of working to raise my temperature. This approach appears to have helped me get through many infections quickly, though I admit this is anecdotal.

From what I've heard, she didn't remaster, she rerecorded those albums. These are new performances.

If the deflation is just a market correction after exaggerated inflation (retailers raising their prices more than general inflation to increase their short term subs) then it's no big deal. Prolonged deflation can be bad, as that causes too much saving and not enough spending, which can really hurt the economy and people because of how it takes money out of circulation.

In an economy, the more money can circulate, the more good it can do. I use my salary to pay for for and things, that money then pays the employees of the businesses I went to, and those employees also spent that money, and so on. At each step, both participants normally get a net benefit: I can eat, and the employee can also spend the money they get from me to eat, etc. As long as the money circulates, it keeps doing good. When it stops circulating, due to being put into savings, investments or real estate, it stops doing good (or it does less good). The cycle slows down or stops.

That's why a small amount of inflation (maybe 1-2% ? Not sure what's optimal) is actually healthy, because it puts pressure on people with money to spend it before it loses its value, instead of hoarding it.
