I've been involved in the BDSM community for roughly 15 years in the US. Tons of LGBT people, and I can say a large percentage are into IT either professionally or as a hobby. As for trans specifically, I'm not sure I've ever met one who wasn't technically minded. That's just what I've seen. Could be different elsewhere.

Yes, many times. Often it's because they don't understand what it is I'm trying to do. More often than not, they make wild assumptions about what I'm suggesting and then lose their fucking minds instead of asking for clarification. Ultimately it becomes an argument about what they think I'm talking about and I never get an actual answer.

Elon Musk has sold social media site X to his own xAI artificial intelligence company in a $33 billion all-stock deal, the billionaire announced on Friday.

Musk said in a post on X that the move will “unlock immense potential by blending xAI’s advanced AI capability and expertise with X’s massive reach.” He said the deal values xAI at $80 billion and X at $33 billion. Musk, who serves as CEO of Tesla and SpaceX as well as an advisor to President Donald Trump, bought the site then called Twitter for $44 billion in 2022, gutted its staff and changed its policies on hate speech, misinformation and user verification and renamed it X.

He launched xAI a year later.

“xAI and X’s futures are intertwined. Today, we officially take the step to combine the data, models, compute, distribution and talent. This combination will unlock immense potential by blending xAI’s advanced AI capability and expertise with X’s massive reach,” Musk wrote on X. “The combined company will deliver smarter, more meaningful experiences to billions of people while staying true to our core mission of seeking truth and advancing knowledge.”

It's not clear if the move will change anything for X users — xAI already uses data from X user posts to train its artificial intelligence models and paying X users have access to its AI chatbot, Grok.

At least 17 Tesla cars were destroyed after a fire broke out at a dealership on the outskirts of Rome on Monday morning, according to Italian fire officials. No one was at the dealership when the fire broke out and no injuries have been reported.

The fire comes after a string of reports across Italy in recent weeks of Tesla vehicles being vandalized and defaced, with anti-Elon Musk and anti-Donald Trump sentiments written with spray paint.

Another car dealership burned down in northern Rome a week ago, destroying 30 cars, including used Teslas.

Also in Rome, several Teslas in the Garbatella neighborhood were defaced, according to police and social media posts.

Tesla dealerships in Milan have also been targeted by environmental groups in recent weeks.

Reports of Tesla vandalism have also surfaced in France and various parts of the United States, including the Pacific Northwest and the Northeast.

Attempted anal right after she had done a 2qt enema. In the moment we were just wanting to get it on but uh, It ended as one with any sense would expect. We were able to laugh about it once it was all over.

Prepping. I've found some comfort in aquiring things and skills necessary to hopefully survive through various plausible scenarios. This initially started because of climate change but with current politics, I've tried to expand on those ideas. I'm not trying to go full doomsday crazy with it but I'll be a few steps ahead of the general population as things continue to get worse.

I think it's a trade route between the US and Rusia.

Probably has oil and other resources too when you consider the ice is melting like an uncle guss BBQ.

FL wants more child labor (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

Because the existing workforce keeps getting deported.

1

Florida has been working for years to crack down on employers that hire undocumented immigrants. But that presented a problem for businesses in the state that are desperate for workers to fill low-wage and often undesirable jobs.

Florida’s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and the state legislature have a potential solution: children.

The state’s legislature on Tuesday advanced a bill that would loosen child labor laws, allowing children as young as 14 years old to work overnight shifts. If the new law is passed, teenagers would be able to work overnight jobs on school days. They are currently prevented from working earlier than 6:30 am or later than 11 pm per state law. The new law, which also includes a number of changes including eliminating working time restrictions on teenagers aged 14 and 15 if they are home-schooled and ending guaranteed meal breaks for 16 and 17 year olds.

The number of child labor violations in Florida has nearly tripled in recent years, according to US Department of Labor statistics.

Canada has frozen all rebate payments for Tesla and banned the electric-vehicle maker from future EV rebate programs, Transport Minister Chrystia Freeland said on Tuesday.

Freeland also directed the transport department to revise eligibility requirements for future iZEV programs to ensure that Tesla vehicles are not eligible as long as the "illegitimate and illegal U.S. tariffs are imposed against Canada."

Tesla filed an extraordinary number of EV rebate claims in the final days of the program in January, with a single Tesla dealership in Quebec City claiming nearly C$20 million in public subsidies by documenting more than 4,000 electric vehicle sales over a single weekend.

Toronto stopped providing financial incentives for Tesla vehicles purchased as taxis or ride shares because of trade tensions with the U.S. earlier this month.

Immigrant women say they were held "like animals" in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention and subjected to conditions so extreme they feared for their lives.

Chained for hours on a prison bus without access to food, water or a toilet. Told by guards to urinate on the floor. Held "like sardines in a jar," as many as 27 women in a small holding cell. Sleeping on a concrete floor. Getting one three-minute shower over three or four days in custody.

"We smelled worse than animals," one detainee said. "More girls were coming every day. We were screaming, begging them, 'You can’t let them come.' They didn’t have space."

The allegations come after two men at Krome died in custody on Jan. 23 and Feb. 20.

The government's own investigators have repeatedly found serious problems in immigration detention centers around the country. The problems have persisted through Democrat and Republican administrations and range from fatal medical neglect to improper use of force.

WEST PALM BEACH — Protesters lined up outside the Tesla showroom in President Donald Trump's home county on Saturday were met by honks, mainly in support.

#Then, a black SUV drove into the crowd of more than 100 protesters. No one was injured but the near-miss incident underscores the rising tension over the automaker's CEO, Elon Musk, and his high-profile, and highly controversial, role in the Trump administration.

"He drove into a crowd of senior citizens," said Mark Offerman of the Democratic Progressive Caucus Palm Beach County about the driver. "Everybody was able to move out, but two older women were really almost clipped. We immediately called the cops."

Upon arriving, police spoke with the driver and interviewed about five protesters, who also provided photo and video evidence of what had happened. The man was arrested at the scene and will be charged with assault, according to a deputy from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

During a major Oval Office address on Friday, President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth introduced a new sixth-generation fighter jet costing $20 billion. In an unbelievable move, Trump named the jet after himself — the F47 — emphasizing his place in history as President of the United States.

"The F47 will be the most advanced, capable, and lethal aircraft ever built. We're confident that it overpowers the capabilities of any nation," he said before adding: "47 is a lovely number, isn't it."

#Hundreds of officers decertified

Lawmakers gave POST a year to set up the state’s decertification system, including hiring staff and establishing investigation procedures. From the start, the commission was playing catch-up.

That’s because, under SB 2, some decertification would apply retroactively. That includes officers who committed felonies, qualifying misdemeanors and certain kinds of misconduct — specifically dishonesty, sexual assault and use of deadly force.

So far, POST has received over 35,000 cases for review. About half of them involve incidents dating before 2023.

The reports include allegations against nearly 20,000 current or former officers who worked for big cities, small towns, universities and a slew of government agencies.

POST has completed investigations into more than 13,000 cases, with nearly 300 resulting in decertifications. Dozens of them voluntarily surrendered their badges.

Another 140 have had their certifications suspended while POST investigates.

They really need to STFU with this "Millennials" crap. The entire population aside from the rich are being affected by the now destroyed economy. Nobody is getting a house outside of unusual circumstances.
