People always say crypto has no value and is a scam but i don't see how a stablecoin like usdc isn't a much simpler solution vs trying to break the duopoly

OpenAI has become a load-bearing company for the tech industry, both as a narrative — as previously discussed, ChatGPT is the only Large Language Model company with any meaningful userbase

I guess this is true if we ignore Google which is more than a LLM company since that can pre-install gemini on half of people's devices and everyone interacts with using gsuite.

I think the release for the single player game is clearly in sight with the 1 hour demo they showed last year.

It's because the contract sony signed with marvel back in the day stipulated that they must create a new Spider-Man movie every few years or lose the rights.

The contract specifies two key production windows:

Sony must start production within 3 years and 9 months after the previous film's release They must release the next film within 5 years and 9 months after the previous film's release There's also an important exception: if Sony releases three pictures within eight consecutive years, they can extend these deadlines to 5 years for starting production and 7 years for release

Just tried it out, works great! I was able to do some basic searches and most results mad sense

Two cool features would be:

  • ability to delete photos. I could see searching and deleting a good workflow
  • if possible, see what tags the images have to see how CLIP output works

valve does a lot though. they continue to expand their store and related products, OS, hardware

if they did nothing another company would have leapfrogged them in terms of digital storefronts

ads cost money to increase users to eventually profit from them later.

how would a decentralized lemmy profit from the increased users.

Any money spent on ads would be better off hiring more engineering resources and improving lemmy for the next time Reddit does something dumb prompting an exodus.

yeah but then you have to play a console without mods or cheap games

try buying a used GPU and game on 1080p monitor and you'll be able to have great graphics without a lot of money

unless this is an extremely long con. I haven't heard of any reports of her cracks being malware. in the case of RE village her crack improved performance vs capcom's DRM.

the professional ones are 6k+ https://www.izugar.com/shop/product/mkx200_k2pro/ and the consumer ones are $200

If you can create more immersive content with this headset then i could see the next generation of instagram but for 3d content shot in devices like this.

It would also be cool if smartphones could shoot in this format too.

I believe the format has been dominated by adult content, but people could enjoy regular content shot in 3d.

This assumes that there's no catch with the video output format.

Adding OpenAI to their cloud products and windows 11 highlights a missed opportunity to have AI vertically integrated in their mobile products.
