From what I read, using anything but Synapse requires to compromise on features/compatibility. I know this is not the dev's fault, it's from the way the Matrix spec evolve. I have seen many different ways to achieve that in Emacs. Do you have one to recommend (modes, packages)? Do you synchronise calendars with other devices (e.g. smartphone, server)?
