They are correct. It only means more work for future devices, makes the initial port to a device slower. But then, once things have been figured out. It becomes just as fast and reliable as it was (unless what I said earlier: Google setting things in a very different way in a major update (for example, moving to Fushia, which has been abandoned)

I agree, but it's more complicated than that: They have removed the device tree for pixel devices from AOSP and using the device tree of the basic virtual phone in android studio instead. That brings the pixel 10 family (as well as future android pixel devices) to the same level as many other phonemaker's devices as far as making roms is concerned. So not all hardware will be documented, many drivers will need to be rebuilt. The pixel line up to the 9a is not affected because older device trees can be used (until Google wants to mod the way drivers load or add API's).

In France the government is helping people get Aircon by subsidising heatpumps, also way more carbon efficient than Gaz or fioul based central heating.

Google is starting to use DRM on all it's videos so that only the official youtube clients on devices and big browser brands can play them. It also kills all the systems like invidious.

The saying remains: European rifles are amazing unless you're left handed.

I live very close to the border but on the French side, we had a tiny outage of about 1/3 of a second (but long enough to reset routers)... That's probably why.

It reminds me a lot of the first things that A. Hitler did in Germany after being elected. Putting the problem away.

But just like the Nazis of old, this government is going to start thinking about a way to keep putting the problem away at a lesser cost, especially once ICE get too many deportees to keep flying them out without humongous logistics.

They are going to hit the same hurdles, and (hopefully not) deal with them in the same way.

Luxury goods are not really hit by tariffs nor taxes the same way more basic goods might be. A $ 4000 that goes to $ 4 500 is way more manageable for the kind of people who want to and can buy it (it may even make it more desirable for those who want and can't buy it).

I checked it out and about 4.4 million US citizens cannot vote (excluding the real 51st state: Puerto-Rico) including 1/19 blacks. That's crazy, it's as if the country is setup for a one party system from the get go. You don't need huge prisoner cohorts to make the 3% difference needed for you to remain in power while maintaining an illusion of democracy.

Wait. I'm French so this made my brain fry.

In the US prisoners have their constitutional rights removed?
