I was hoping I could use it to go to different biomes, but its much slower than I expected.

So all of them that I've seen use propellers to get out of the lowest part of the atmosphere, but once you get above 15000m, what twr and delta v do you need?

Anyone know what stats are needed? Is this good enough to make it?

Officially named the Giant Reusable Uhh...

This rocket is capable of putting 190 tons into orbit (quarter scale earth) with full reuse!

(the nuclear saltwater engines render the launch complex expendable)

Here I'm undocking the ISRU lander. I wanted to design a ship that wasn't lugging around unused lander engines by having them used as part of the main engines too. The lander also has all the science tools that can be used while landed, while the main ship has the science tools that can only be used in orbit along with a lab. The lander can make it to orbit of kerbin on its own, so it should be able to handle most planets and moons. I still need to test if the whole ship has enough delta v to make it from planet to planet.

Gilly Refuel Ship (lemmy.world)

I learned that the grabbers don't grab the ground but still work, and you don't have to worry about springs.

I started out with names from The Expanse. So far I've used Canterbury and Donnager for the bigger ships and Rocinante for one of the smaller ones. I then branched out and named another smaller ship Serenity and another big ship Enterprise. I think my next big ship will be Galactica. Anyone have any more good ship names?

Crew shuttle that can make it from the runway to stable high orbit and back. My goal, by linking a series of single stage reusable ships, is to be able to take tourists anywhere in the system at no cost.

As far as I can tell the objective of a campaign is to get all the science possible and be able to take tourists anywhere. I've tried looking for ideas on how to best accomplish this but haven't found much. Most posts are about single rockets or missions. So what's your solar system setup look like?

My goal is to have a station around every planet and moon right at the high/low orbit line in order to get all the possible science done. Each station will also have a single stage lander for getting the science from all the biomes too. Most planets and moons are pretty easy to build landers for, but I'm still trying to figure out eve... I would also like to have a mining and refueling setup on the smallest body of each planetary system.

Has anyone else tried anything similar? What's yours look like and how'd you do it.
