250k is SO LOW man. It's not that hard to get by and be happy on 60k a year if you use your money right. Your happiness and peace can't be quantified. Do you want to enjoy life, love people, and make the world better? Or just be another parasite who makes everyone's life just a bit worse every day

If you loved "Dune," and think you are cool enough to identify with the Fremen, consider that these people are sacrificing everything stand up to the empire.

We owe them this, at the very least, to take 5 minutes so sign a petition. Congress can divert money from the war and we can spend it on something useful/constructive (like alternative energy infrastructure).

In this analogy, I believe we are the worms

They just do this to try and keep us from talking about a class war

I love it. I even went a step further and found some alternatives to Google maps, calendar, mail etc. And it took a couple days to get used to but I never went back!

Just punishment for making another FPS for a major corporation. Why they expect anything different at this point baffles me

You are right, but we shouldn't compare ourselves to "most people." The bar is WAY too low especially in modern day hypercapitalist, narcissistic, cold, uncaring countries. If we are going to compare ourselves to "most people," at least recognize the context we are in. Most human earth citizens throughout history (and pre-history) are NOT AT ALL the same as the people of 1930s Germany or the late Roman empire, or this 250 year experiment we call the USA. Let's compare yourselves to the good examples of people/tribes of the world, if we must compare ourselves to anyone.

When you sprain your ankle, DON'T MOVE. I used to try and walk it off because that's what everyone does and even coaches recommend it, but that's when the actual damage is done.

Spraining is usually just your tendons/ligaments going into emergency mode (getting very short/tight). So if you try to walk while they are still tight, they will actually tear, doing damage that takes weeks to heal. If you instead just keep that ankle perfectly still for like 30 seconds to 2 min, the ankle will be completely fine.

Trick is, you have to overcome the social pressure to hurry it along (i.e. on a hike at work, or on a sport field).

I must be stupid then because I've legitimately had that idea to put a fan on the radiator looking thing to maximize the precision of the cooling. Cooling the thing that gets hot

Those footprints are on land, and we were the only people out there who actually attempted to fish. NM mountains

I use mine 2x per week and despise Bluetooth for many of the reasons described in this thread by others

I initially read "photoshop" instead of "photograph." I guess my brain thought that was a more likely title/occurrence
