Same boat, waiting for 1.0, now worried I'll miss the boat entirely, but I'm not going to buy their early access for that fear mongering. They made millions, they can ensure their game lives on one way or another.

If you got a deck and expected it to run the latest AAA titles, you are an idiot.

This guy is irresponsible with the power he holds. I hope the UK removes access to his failing social media platform

I would love to swap to Linux if I could play all my games without having to dual boot etc. Steam have done wonders with the proton compatability on steamdeck so there is hope but a lot of my hardware also requires software that is windows only too.

It might be a stupid comment I'm no Linux expert, but looking forward to the steamOS coming out for PC.

Quite amusing really.

One of my account managers was called S****** Hart and her email was shart@ which amused me so much.

Dumb news article copying info from a 2012 article posted on Reddit yesterday.

As 12 comes out I think we will see a lot of gamers moving to Linux thanks to the much anticipated SteamOS release. Windows 12 will still be "successful" among the general public but Linux usage will skyrocket as Microsoft break that straw on the camels back for the more experienced users.

Personally I will move to Linux, likely start with dual boot in the transitional phase and as SteamOS improves and game publishers realise they need to support Linux and take it more seriously.

Not a Linux fan at all but with my steamdeck usage and setting up Mint on a NUC for a server I've been very impressed with Linux progression. It's still not perfect, needs to be more user friendly but it is getting there.

I used to install custom roms all the time back before knox on Samsung, now I cannot be bothered, usually something in the roms does not work among other bugs, it takes too long to keep up to date on rooting stuff etc, the support for roms is abysmal. I started to lose interest around the time banking apps started detecting root and not working, there were ways around it with magisk but it was complicated and could not find decent documentation on it.

It just became simpler to use what's out of the box and the newer phones I started buying had very little in the way of custom roms to start with.

I use to browse Reddit subs... Now I hope Lemmy fills this hole.

I don't usually see clear skies like this living in the city and seeing as I'm on the coast in the UK I though I would see what the 1 IV could see. Tweaked a little from raw to bring out the less clear stars but both tweaked and original blew me away.

Isn't the option above "other", "I don't want to use it" or something along those lines? just tick that? Never found these to be that annoying. Just pick at random and be done with it.

I got an i7-6700 skull canyon? for free through work many years ago, absolutely love it, it now serves as a Linux box and hosts server stuff on it. Only issue is a ram port died and seemed a common problem!?

Still enjoying using it and it's form factor is fantastic, not sure if I would replace my own desktop with it but would have been an easy consideration for the kids first PC although it may benefit them actually building a tower and learning.

Shame to hear they are stopping
