Is EU OS a project of the European Union?

Right now, EU OS is not a project of the European Union. Instead, EU OS is a community-led Proof-of-Concept. This means it is lead by a community of volunteers and enthusisasts.

The project goal is to become a project of the European Commission in the future and use https://code.europa.eu/. For this EU OS is in touch with the public administration on member state and EU level. So far, EU OS relies on https://gitlab.com/eu-os.

Personally I don't see why EU wouldn't just go with Suse. It has the corporate support that I guess these government institutions crave, it's a good system as far as I know and it's home-grown. Ubuntu is another option, Canonical is a British company (not EU anymore but it is European).

People can weasel themselves around terms like "fascist" quite easily, because there are multiple definitions, many are very diffuse and there's a lot of disagreement around it - but ethnic cleansing to my understanding is quite simple and this is it. Can any serious political commentator pretend it's not? For example the forced removal of Poles from west Poland (annexed by USSR) after WW2 for example was not a slaughter, but is considered an act of ethnic cleansing.

As an onlooker from Europe eagerly awaiting the fall of the US, this is disappointing. :( But congrats to the people of these three countries I guess.

Back in the day, before streaming was a thing, there were lots of people saying that they'd gladly pay for content if it was served to them in a convenient way. But why would you pay for a worse experience (at that time physical media, often at lower quality, and lower availability) when you can get a better one for free?

Along came streaming. Lo and behold, piracy decreased. Where the fuck do you even go to pirate music anymore? All the big sites have shut down. Video piracy is kinda still going strong, probably mostly due to bullshit concerning exclusives, but it's way less than it used to be.

Its their platform, they can do whatever they want with it I guess, but this trend is definitely gonna be a big boost to piracy.
