Didn't happen in a vacuum though, did it.

Do not confuse me saying that with sympathising with Hamas. It is possible to recognise that both sides have bloody hands, and have done for decades.

This isn't necessarily a message to transgender people as individuals, but more a message to their followers that they cannot use their religion as an excuse for their bigotry and ignorant hatred.

Just because it may not make a difference overnight it doesn't mean that it isn't a step in the right direction.

Yes. This is a inflammatory headline purely to try and push an agenda.

There was literally a poll a couple of months ago that showed something like 80% of Ukrainians were in favour of not having elections.

Not to even mention that Ukraine is under Marshall Law, and per their laws disallows elections. And don't even get me started on the entire premise of running elections in a country where a quarter of the landmass is under enemy occupation and the logistics of getting votes from 100s of thousands of deployed troops and the serious security concerns of the election itself from Russian attacks.

In my opinion Newsweek have just outed themselves here and the question is for who?

This is something that I've been thinking about and came to the realisation of the last couple of months.

And this is exactly what Russia's objective was after the disaster of last year. Politically and strategically is the best they can hope for. Drag it out and Ukraine's allies and the world will get tired and stop caring. They'll stop supplying weapons, and sanctions will soften, maybe even start leaning towards supporting or feeling sorry for Russia. Something that were already seeing with Slovakia cutting all aid to Ukraine and taking a 'war is bad, negotiate peace' stance that is a blatant and thinly veiled Russian supportive line. Which is funny since their new govt is Russia leaning.

US are also starting to waver recently with the whole House Speaker débâcle. And Poland/Ukraine relations are a little frosty at the minute too.

That's before you even talk about the Russian strikes on the Ukrainian/Romanian border that are being almost ignored in relation to their severity. Or the Russian mining of the Black Sea. Or Russian missiles flying paths over Maldova on their way to Ukraine. It's a piss take. And only a matter of time unless the world pulls its finger out.

Don't look up.

Both can be true. That Israel has been terrorising Palestinians, and that HAMAS is terrorising Israel.

But Elon Musk and Andrew Tate have said it's nonsense and that he's a canny guy. I don't know what to believe now!

The idea that Elon Musk and Andrew Tate think that publically backing him helps quash any suggestion of bad actions is laughable.

When saw this today I thought the owner was just having a joke with the green EV numberplate tag that immediately caught my eye.

But then I saw the 'Electric' decal on the side I thought it might still be a joke related to that. After all it was quite common for (especially French) cars in the 90s to have quirky trim levels; Wave/Surf/Excite/Elation/etc https://autoshite.com/topic/54842-ridiculous-trim-designations/). Even Fiat had a Fiat 500 'Diesel', which only came in Petrol.

But then on closer look, I couldn't see an exhaust and there was a awkwardly placed flap on the front wing, so I thought it was a passion project type EV conversion. The 106 chassis is really fun little go kart after all. And if someone had the money and the will, why not.

I figured that there might be some information about it online if that was the case. Certainly someone with that dedication would have to have a deep passion, and they might have documented or made a forum post about it.

Nah, it's actually a factory option. PSA apparently decided to offer a battery EV all the way back in 1996. https://www.car.info/en-se/peugeot/106/106-3-door-eletric-11153757/specs

I mean, with 15hp you'll be struggling to even worry the skin on your rice pudding.

Absolutely love seeing things like this.

If my airforce was comprised in bulk of early to mid era cold war museum pieces with a (very) small handful of late cold war era jets as my flagship units then I would be impressed with anything developed after 1991 as well.

I mean, that's fair enough in itself. There's plenty of nations out there still rocking their Falcons, Flankers, Frogfoots, Frogger, Tornados, Mirages etc etc completely respectedly. But they also allow their pilots more stick time in half a year than the vast majority of NK's pilots get in half a decade.

An act of war is only such if the other side recognises it as such.

So if Mexico decide to see this has an isolated incident that can sorted out with some phone calls and hand wringing then it 'quite literally' isn't.

And of course that's what going to happen. To the point where it's not even worth mentioning that war will happen. In short, a rediculous comment.

Honest at this point I wouldn't even blink if Prigozhin popped up in the future to tell us they faked their deaths.

To be clear, I believe that he's dead (and that it was probably an assassination by Putin), but so many other outrageous things have happened already little surprises me.
