Do you have the play store?

[-] jerrimu@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

In releases section of github are the electron desktop versions. You can also put it on almost any webhost and run your own instance

That would increase anonymity for sure, but it's not in the roadmap currently. I'm focused on improving the features, building a server and android for now. But it is a good idea

Hello everyone, about a month ago I open-sourced my web app Peersuite. It's peer-to-peer instead of having servers, and all data is encrypted in transit with AES-GCM algorithm.

Features:

  • chat with channels, images, PMs, and file send ( no size limit)

  • audio/video conferencing No hard cap on users but since it's a mesh network it would degrade at over 15 users

  • Screensharing tab, window, or entire screen

  • whiteboard for diagrams/drawing

  • group document creation/editing

  • kanban board for task management

Since there is no server, you can download a workspace to an encrypted file to restore later, this saves you chats, documents, everything. This software is new, and still undergoing heavy development, but I think it's a valid choice over closed source solutions with no encryption.

Currently you can use it on the web at https://peersuite.space/ Download desktop versions from github Download docker image from https://hub.docker.com/repository/docker/openconstruct/peersuite

You can also install it as a PWA on desktop or mobile. I have an android port in the works, If anyone would like to test let that me know, and I'll PM you for your email.

I've also done some initial work on a nodejs server so that you can keep a workspace open 24/7 effectively having a server.

Super happy to get any kind of feedback, positive or negative.

Awesome! Real world testing finds things I never have! I'm going to improve a lot of things based on this, thanks for the input.

I have actually never thought of audio while screensharing, In my head it was mainly for people to watch videos and games. That's an easy fix. Opting out of audio is easy enough. Audio and Vido shouldnt happen at the same time, thats a bug. Seeing a blackscreen after sharing is also a bug. I can implement per-user volume easily enough. User assignments in kanban is already on the roadmap. Adjusting the size of the whiteboard, this one is probably not going to happen. It was a real struggle getting it working as good as it does now. It should scale to your screen for the most part. I may re-implement Zoom in/out for drawing.

It doesn't sound like complaining, this is what I need, thank you for your input!!

Hey everyone.

I make Peersuite, an opensource free communication platform.

It's private by default, there's no sign-in or email collection.

It's peer-to-peer, there's no server, after discovery you are connected directly to your friends my AES-GCN encrypted WebRTC channels. It forms a mesh and identifies superpeers. Because there is no server, in order to save your data between sessions, you can download your workspace into a password encrypted file. Happy to answer any questions.

FEATURES:

  • chat with images, PMs, channels, and file send
  • group audio/video calling
  • screensharing
  • kanban board
  • whiteboard for diagrams/flowchartswith PNG export
  • collaborative document editing with formatted PDF export

The best way for self hosting is docker, its on dockerhub as openconstruct/peersuite. You can also download desktop versions from the github or use on the web at https://peersuite.space/

Capitalism is just a continuation of the feudal system. Great for owners / gentry, bad for serfs /workers. Labor creates all value, and should be rewarded as such.

I’ve played Diablo 1 and world of Warcraft which is slightly similar, but just tried d3 a week ago. I play most games on my switch, I grabbed the eternal edition a while back. The spec system looks really basic, but it gets fairly deep with runes and legendary items. What amazes me the most is the speed, there are a ton of graphical effects popping on high level gameplay, and zero slowdown even with 100+ enemies casting spells constantly. I’ve maxxed two characters so far and gearing them now.

Had this happen to me a few days ago and searched for a good while with no fix.

Turns out it a mod-issue with performance fish with large modloads. Go to PF mod options, search for "WorkGiver_DoBillOptimization" and uncheck the 3 boxes beneath it.
