My girlfriend of 2 years broke up with me on Sunday, she’s the love of my life (have known each other far longer than 2 years). We have a child together, I don’t know what to do about it.

I’m trying to talk to her and discuss how we can work through it, I don’t know if it’s going to work.

Keep your fingers crossed for me I guess?

I also haven’t eaten or slept properly since, I’m starving but I can’t actually put food in my mouth.

Arch is focused on however you put it together

I have a SQL database, and a schema document that goes with it, is there any kind of AI I can self host and train it on this data?

The goal would be to ask it simple questions like “from which table in [dbname] can I find a list of products I’ve sold in the last x days”

Would be even better if I could ask it to write some queries to find exactly what I’m after.

What kind of hardware would I need to run something like this, if it exists?

I’ve been using cloudflare for dynamic dns for my self hosted nextcloud, audio book service and matrix server, but I’m trying to get away from depending on a big tech company. What alternative can I use?

Can I host my own service?

Has anyone got BO4 running reasonably well? I can get it running and join games easy enough, but there’s sever graphical issues, all the textures blend together when moving the mouse.

I’m running through Lutris, tried multiple proton versions. 5950x, 3070 latest drivers, 16g ddr4.

I currently use Nextcloud and Immich, Nextcloud on iOS is garbage though, it can't auto upload files if they are too big, even with the application open.

Immich is great, but is under very active development, so it could break any time. I take backups of the images and store it in my array, and external HDD and Google Drive (encrypted, nothing I upload to G drive is unencrypted). Immich is stores content in a complicated directory structure that goes 3-4 folders deep, I'm hoping to find something that just uploads all my photos and videos to a single folder or two.

iCloud only gives me 5GB, and it's almost full, and I dont want to pay for G Drive and iCloud+.

Is there another solution I can use to just store photos on my server, that will auto upload from iOS without issue?

Never purchase them, you’ll end up banned. Best way is to look for open sign ups

I use coolercontrol to set fan curves, but the application needs to be open for it to work. If I run GPU pass through there is no X server running, so the app can’t stay open while running the VM and I have no control over fan curves.

I tried passing the commander pro through to the VM and use FanControl for windows but it can’t see any temperature sensors, so I can’t set use it properly.

How can I set the fan curves properly while using the VM? I use to play cyberpunk, probably the most demanding game I own, so I need to keep temperatures down to stop the game running like shit.

Frame rate is how many frames per second your game is running at, refresh rate is how many times per second your monitor refreshes. So 60fps at 60hz means you’re running and seeing 60fps properly.

If your screen is at 30hz, and your game is running at 60fps, you’re only seeing 30fps.

Try to keep them matched up for a better experience.

What are our options for mods in Linux? I’m currently playing cyberpunk, which has thousands of available mods but no easy way to install loads in one go.

Vortex through lutris doesn’t seem to work at all and MO2 doesn’t support cyberpunk as far as I know.

Are there any other mod managers I can use? The only decent alternative I have is a windows VM, mod the game then move it to my host then play, but updates would be a nightmare. Either that or just play in the VM.

Kinda sounds like a scam, wouldn’t buy a torrent invite from another website. Usually you can get into them when they have open sign ups or if you know someone in one.

If you’re desperate, and ready to spend money, you can buy your way into IPTorrents.

CP2077 Flatlining (lemmy.world)

Every time I launch 2077 it glitches its way through a few frozen screens from the intro then flatlines.

Tried multiple proton versions, KDE and i3, all drivers are up to date as well.

Is anyone else having these problems?

I have an unraid server, and run swag to connect to a few of my apps. They all run on subdomain, including matrix and mastodon.

My default.conf file in the swag container has some "well-known" parameters set for the above, for delegating from the subdomain to the main domain. Because of this, I'm not sure if I can use the default.conf to point to another apication, or website.

What's the best route for setting up a website here? I want www.mydomain.xyz and mydomain.xyz to point to the same site as well.

I can easily set up apps on subdomains, but I'm not great with actual web hosting with nginx.

Any advice?

Edit: turns out this was very easy, just change server_name in default.conf to www.mydomain.xyz and mydomain.xyz and edit the index.html in the www directory, leave the location block with well-known alone. Should've tried before asking😂

I’m planning to put HA on a pi, with a usb antenna

I can’t decide which bulbs to use, Philips hue looks great but it’s pricey and I’m pretty sure it’s got too much “phone home” crap. I don’t want anything to leave my network. If I can use Hue bulbs without the hub, or block the hub from phoning home I would consider it?

I found some Sengled bulbs that look fine, but I don’t know if they are any good.

Can someone recommend some decent bulbs? Colour ones preferably, but white is OK too.

Any other advice? Got a home server, so can host just about anything to get this working together.

I’d post this in a hackintosh community, but there’s only 1 that I could find, with 1 user so I don’t think I’ll get much of an answer.

I’m looking at buying a 8GB RX570 to use for a Mac VM, my current 3070 isn’t an option, cause Apple.

Catch is, I use a 3440x1440 monitor, which runs at 180Hz. Would the 570 handle that res and refresh rate? I don’t plan to do much gaming, I have my host OS and a Windows VM for that.

I’m just looking for a smooth experience for basic browsing and video playback on YouTube.

I haven’t had an AMD card since the HD 7970 (I think) so I don’t know how well they perform these days.

If there’s a place for hackintosh discussions on Lemmy, let me know, I couldn’t find it.
