Well if the pattern is to be followed, we have three more oblivion releases, and 3 more morrowind releases. So that’s like a decade at least

You can even trick people over video now using AI, and without too much effort. The next generation of scams is going to be really creepy, society isn’t even a little bit ready.

https://www.tavus.io/ is just one product already pushing the boundaries in this space

I recently was gifted a Retroid 5 pocket. It’s been quite impressive so far. But I can’t for the life of me figure out how to get the controller working on Splinter Cell 1 via Winlator.

The game runs great, and looks so much better than the PS2 or Gamecube versions of the game. I own the GoG version, so I am not sure if this is an issue. But am wondering if anyone else has gotten the Retroid controls working with SC1 before.

I am running:

  • Winlator v9.0
  • Splinter Cell 1 (v1.3) from GoG

I can see my controller working just fine under the Game controller program, both for Dinput and Xinput. But for whatever reason every single controller fix I use with Splinter Cell triggers a Game fault protection error. If I try to setup a profile in Winlator to control the game, I can get some of the buttons to work, but the dpad and control sticks don’t appear to be able to move Sam or the camera.

I’ve seen some people mention Input Bridge or Antimicrox as a solution, but I’m hoping there is a low effort solution to this. If anyone has any recommendations for how to proceed I am all ears.

Thanks, and if this is better posted somewhere else just let me know

I met her about 9 years ago or so in NYC through a friend of mine over coffee. At the time she was a democrat with strong views about war, given her past experiences that made sense.

Now she is fully unhinged. Sad to see these people who are so willing to change allegiances just to acquire some semblance of power.

So OpenVibe but it isn’t free and doesn’t support Nostr?

The man who originally invented this tech is a really good guy, can’t recommend it enough!

Just sounds like HBO harassed some random dude with no real evidence. Calling that forum post “finishing his sentences” is conspiracy bullshit.

Hopefully if they continue to make claims they have a better argument to bring to the table.

I much prefer this to when the pharmacists sniff at my butt at entry and then give advice on diet and nutritional supplements.

Believe it or not but it requires resources to open source an internal product, especially one that may have been an experiment where some small team was able to convince leadership could become useful to the masses.

React.js at Facebook is a good example of this. It took a lot of effort to externalize and open source React, and tbh the codebase is still kind of garbage when it comes to contributions from those unfamiliar with its intricacies.

And nothing was lost.

Might be one of the few times a Lemmy post related to me.

I have owned a farm for four years, and do engineering for fun. AMA

While I don’t use a Samsung, I am over half way through my phones fifth year. Other than a battery replacement I’ve had literally no problems whatsoever.

If only lifespan and right to repair were written into law everywhere.
