Excuse for layoff. What I hear from the article is a CEO, who himself is not a grown up, crying me, me, me, my company, my profit, selfish behavior without any concern for his employees who have largely contributed to his startup success.

Spoken like a true capitalist. Work for free, kiss the boots of corporate execs, and maybe we'll throw you a none.

As someone from Texas, these are disgusting, and people driving this garbage are not friendly towards pedestrians at all. They have no self awareness sitting inside these killing machines.

The only reason for 99.9% of people to drive this garbage is to feel big when on the road. How petty.

A Wells Fargo spokesperson told Bloomberg that the company "holds employees to the highest standards and does not tolerate unethical behavior."

Says an unethical piece of shit corporation that secretly opened millions of unauthorized accounts of their customers to collect bogus fees, appease their shareholders and financial status.

Were the executives fired? No. Were they jailed for financial fraud? No.

As asked in the title. Anyone have insider information? Speculations are welcomed. It just seems such an e-waste, but at the same time some reviewing more well known techs are helpful. But those whose goal is to make their video entertaining rather than informative like going on a tech shopping spree on Amazon or Aliexpress to show the "smallest" gadget in a certain category or something similar is adding to the waste.

I mostly use Signal with family and friends. For all else, I have used Google messages and the default app.

I'm a casual eBay user. On rare occasions, I will sell household items when I no longer use them. Well, I went to sell my Nintendo Switch on eBay and found out my account has been restricted indefinitely selling. When I tried chat with the customer service agent, they provided a name of some entity that I don't recognize in relation to my account for the reason for restriction, then refused to help me any further and simply disconnect. What kind of shity service is that? When I was provided an automated option to "appeal", it didn't work when i clicked on it. It didn't do anything. Same with other options. They don't have any other way to appeal on their website from what I can see. So caught off guard and annoyed.

Has anyone played Farthest Frontier on Steam Deck? Wondering if it's playable and worth it. I've watched countless hours of gameplay and absolutely love it.

Yes, let's trust a corporate that's doing things for our safety out of the kindness of their heart.

For those that continually use services like Uber Eats, Grubhub, DoorDash, etc., how does justify using the cost?

With fees and tip added, it's almost double the cost, the food arrives cold and wait time is longer than you picking it up yourself.

They are giving americans what they want. The real problem is continuing to feed the deep rooted car addiction brought on by lobbying and corporate greed. There has not been a better time to instead invest heavily on public transportation, build extension inter-state, inter-city train systems, subway or rail systems for cities. Overtime phasing out freeways and replacing them walkable districts. I understand this won't happen over night and cities like Houston and LA are sprawling cities of 100s of miles but it needs to start somewhere and it starts with heavy investment from the federal government. Time to finally invest the tax money back to the taxpayers not defense, wars (direct, proxy or funded) and foreign affairs in the name of "national security". How about domestic security from corporate greed, price gouging, poor education, horrible Healthcare are system, costly drug prices to say the least. I understand for all these there's need to be a massive social change booth in the country and in the world's largest retirement home, US Congress.

I would love to see more and more car free cities and other urban sprawling, but I have to say, this centralized business model where this developer is providing all the amenities, passes for the near by rail, paying rent to this developer, basically everything goes through them, they even had an app for the community, this is not a viable solution. What happens when this company is not able to sustain the spending or goes bankrupt, or worse sells majority share to an equity company. A decentralized model that goes through local government is a better option and not through for profit company. Even better option is to start from city center not a separate community on the edge of the city. I know what I'm saying sounds impossible in America, and with lobbying buy auto makers and other large corporate overlords, it probably is impossible. Social change can bring about the difference.

"Defence barrister Erasmus Lovell-Jones said his client had an underlying psychological fragility which made it difficult for her to say no in social situations.

He said Karezi – who was studying a bachelor’s degree in health science – met a person who believed she was studying medicine, and when she did not correct them it spawned a misunderstanding that opened doors for her."

What kind of horse shit defense is that? Someone should check if this defense attorney has underlying phycological fragility themself.

Last week I canceled my Amazon Prime membership. It felt so good on so many levels. I asked myself why I am paying prime membership? For expedited shipping on products I haven't purchased yet and don't know what they will be? To pay for products that will be shipped in two days instead of 5 days? I can wait. If it's urgent, I will go to a brick and mortar. Finally, for Amazon prime video, a crappy streaming service in comparison? I hardly use this streaming service. It was an easy decision.
