You aren’t wrong, but I think web apps would have been more prevalent because you could develop for a single platform (browser) and it would work on most any device that has a browser.

If companies, like Apple didn’t block Progressive Web Apps in order to force App Store usage, I’d disagree, but we just don’t live in that world.

I assume we are talking original release and not a remake? These are the games I never stopped jumping in and out of.

  • Fez (X360 2012)
  • Rock Band/Guitar Hero (Multi-System)
  • Skyrim (Multi-System 2011)
  • FTL (PC 2012)
  • Civilization V (PC 2010)
  • Stardew Valley (Multi-System 2016)

Recently, I’ve been playing Top Gear (SNES 1992).

For many of these, I’m not playing on the original system. I’m playing a port. Fez wasn’t ported to modern consoles, but I play on my phone.

Hell, I played Skyrim on an Amazon Echo. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In the grand scheme of society, it’s kinda bonkers how there was such a short window to go to learn something like Web Development and get a job before it started being replaced. Basically a job that existed for ~30 years and won’t be around much longer.

(Yes I know AI is dumb, but it doesn’t matter if C-Suite execs think it can do it, they’ll replace jobs with AI)

Its literally sounds that other people can’t hear because they are generated by your own ear ears. Typically, it’s from something damaged in your ear or excess earwax.

It’s not constant, necessarily. It’s also not always ringing. And, you might not hear it in both ears.

For me, I do hear ringing often but not constantly. Sometimes, I just hear a high pitched squeal for a bit. Sometimes it’s the unlike 30 seconds and sometimes it’s much longer.

The symptom that stands out most, is the static sound. It’s like the sound you hear when you tune a tv or a radio to empty station. It mostly happens if the environment is too loud. That could be loud music/tv, a crowd of people, or maybe even just someone speaking loudly.

Most of the time, it’s just kinda annoying and not too bad. If I hear static, I know I’m in an environment that is too loud, and I need to do something to protect the hearing I still have.

Was it home built? This article says it was installed during a modification to the fuel line, but I didn’t see if it was the plane owner or a 3rd party install.

I’m very against Roblox. I know a kid who had a really hard time with online predators and a lot of it stated with Roblox. He’s 19 now. He and I were talking about it recently.

Parents think Roblox is like Minecraft bc of the aesthetics of the game. But, Roblox is not a game with a chat feature, it’s a chat room with some games. That’s a big difference.

They have 380 million users. Around 60% of the user base is under the age of 16. 40% is under the age of 12. That’s 152 million mostly unmonitored kids.

I’m sure Roblox has gotten better moderation during that time, but in our experience predators meet kids on Roblox and get them to exchange Discord or other contact info with them.

Discord is also a problem here, but that’s for another rant in another thread. If you are concerned about your kids and want to discuss it with me, feel free to message me.

TLDR: DO NOT LET YOUR KIDS PLAY ROBLOX unless you are actively monitoring the game.

What’s with all the brand new accounts that post random YSKs then delete their profile? There are a lot of these in YSK and I can’t figure out why.

I had to come to the comments to find out what she meant. CNC fabrication was the only thing I could think of.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but I couldn't find much info online about it.

My brain says these probably won't mix together, but I thought I would check with some more experienced woodworkers before wasting my time.

Backstory: Several years ago, my bf bought a house. One room in that house has been completely unusable because there is bad pet urine smells. I've tried everything on the planet to get it out of the hardwood floors. It's definitely better but, not good.

We know it's very likely the floor and the subfloor will need to be replaced, but as a last ditch effort, we've opted to finish the floor and try sealing it with a clear odor blocking primer. We figure, if it doesn't work, we're replacing the floors and if it does work, yay we saved some money. :D

I've been trying to match the finish to the flooring in the rest of the house. The wood appears to be Red Oak. I pulled up a board and checked the end grain. After much research, I suspect the floors were finished with some kind of oil, likely Tung or Linseed.

Current Problem: I know you have to reapply oil periodically so I'm not sure this would work with the primer that my bf already purchased.

If I put the Primer on first, I'm guessing the oil wouldn't properly soak into the wood. If I put the primer on after, will it even adhere?

TLDR: Can I use Tung Oil with a clear primer to seal in pet odor? If so, what order should be be applied?

Thanks ya'll!
PS. I love lurking on this community. You all inspired me to start building more things myself. I'm still learning, but I'm excited about it all.

I feel like Garcia’s attorneys could ask for a mistrial. No way he’s going to get a fair trial. Especially, with the government saying they’ll punish him regardless, seems like a slam dunk for his counsel. The challenge is keeping him alone and in the country after.

My neighbor and his wife like to give my boys treats and pets, but the fence made it hard. ❤️

He cut a window added hinges and a latch so he could pet the dogs.

My company did a forced RTO. Moral dropped. In one category, it dropped to 14%. We couldn’t hire anyone and people were quitting. Our president kept saying “We will never return to WFH.”

Less than 6 months after he said that, we went fully remote. The whole RTO thing lasted about a year before they gave up.
