If Lineage allowed me to relock my bootloader I would probably had gone with that vs GrapheneOS. I DONT know why GrapheneOS developers insist on the world's ugliest UI for all their applications and icons.

Give me a pure oled #000000 black theme or else its crap!

OK this is creepy. My son JUST watched this episode 10 min again. Either a coincidence or my grapheneOS pixel and Lemmy are spying on me.

I just REALLY want a pure black theme and apparently Gnome with Ubuntu is not the answer

[-] WaffleWarrior@lemmy.zip 3 points 5 days ago

Do you know of a different Desktop Environment that allows for more of a pure black theme?

I am trying to change my GTK theme via gnome tweaks buy that is no actual option to change the Theme via the appearance tab. I believe it is now listed under "legacy" and while the command line lists that my GTK theme is indeed changed to Material Black (the one I downloaded) the system windows still look like the default system settings. What is going on here

Is everything alright over there? Why are you guys trying to model your telecom infrastructure off North Korea or the Peoples Republic of China?

That's fair but I think we will adapt just as we did with the Internet. At least that's what I hope anyway. I might be wrong

My understanding is most of you are anti AI? My only question is....why? It is the coolest invention since the Internet and it is remarkable how close it can resemble actual consciousness. No joke the AI in sci fi movies is worse than what we actually have in many ways!

Don't get me wrong, I am absolutely anti "AI baked into my operating system and cell phone so that it can monitor me and sell me crap". If that's what being Anti AI is.....to that I say Amen.

But simply not liking a privacy conscious experience or utilization of AI at all? I'm not getting it?

AMOLED Linux? (lemmy.zip)
submitted 6 days ago by WaffleWarrior@lemmy.zip to c/linux@lemmy.ml

As I get older I am LOVING dark mode on everything. Does anyone know how to make the UI for my Debian Distro 100% AMOLED black almost like an Inverted color scheme in windows 11?

In know what you guys are thinking. "But you are posting in the Fediverse on a phone with GrapheneOS flashed via the command line in a Debian based distro!"

I know I know! But truth be told I don't know what the hell I'm doing! I WISH I could be one of the greats who preaches the gospel of "Just install Linux" and who didn't constantly ponder flashing stock android again. However its not that simple.

I'm a power user at best! Half the time I'm copying and pasting commands into the terminal. I try to smile when the Battle.Net launcher fails and buggs out through Lutris and tell myself "Its OK! Who needs to play WoW anyway! I'll just replay Half Life again!" But in reality there's a part of me that wants to just restart into my dual boot windows 11 partition with my tail between my legs.

I'm not worthy to be on Lemmy! DONT LOOK AT ME! (I'd type a crying Emoji, but my Foss degoogled keyboard doesn't have Emojis)
