Ehh, you know, not the greatest memories from this era of my life... but we did get some pretty cool cyber transmissions... 😅 What I like about this one is that all of the “funky noises” were created “live” by me at the Roland D-5 (aside from the 'pings' which were still the D-5, just recorded on a loop station so they would be the same every time). That keyboard was manufactured the same year I was born, and made just as many weird sounds. 😝 The vocal fx are all “live” as well (not added in production), through a TC-Helicon VoiceLive Touch. The song/backstory/soundscape was inspired by our deep space / interstellar probes such as Voyager who, traveling into deep outer space, eventually lose contact with Earth, and continue their brave, unending(?) journey all alone...

"...the kind of thing that you want to hear if you’re ever dancing barefoot in a meadow while wearing extremely flowy clothes. In fact, why aren’t you doing that right now? The song makes the implicit case that you should be doing that, and it’s not unconvincing" (Tom Breihan, Stereogum)

The international party line and online music broadcaster Boiler Room, one of the most prominent and influential platforms in the nightlife scene, has deleted all the DJ sets held in Israel from its official website and YouTube channel.

Boiler Room, founded in London, has been operating for about 15 years as a party series that hosts DJs from around the world, recording and livestreaming their sets. Over the years, the brand has become one of the most recognized names in global club culture, with parties held in over 100 cities and billions of views across social media platforms.

In a press statement issued about two weeks ago, Boiler Room said: "Boiler Room has been through various changes in control, investors, boards, and ownership, and through this our commitment to editorial independence and Palestine has never wavered. No investor, past or present, has ever influenced our output, this will never change.

We will always remain unapologetically pro-Palestine. We continue to adhere to BDS and PACBI guidelines regarding artist programming and brand partnerships and engage with Palestinian artists and organisers in order to formalise our internal policies in line with this commitment. We uphold international law and human rights for all, regardless of identity."

Some people don't like Blink-182 but I like them. I thought this interview was interesting.

Short but sweet clip that shows the bowing on this tune pretty clearly.
