I appreciate that, but I also want to avoid tribalism in relation to politics whenever I can. It's not about teams or colours in my eyes.

It was actually so nice. I walked into work and nobody was talking politics because it didn't feel like the world was ending.

For any conservatives, I'm sorry. I work and am highly involved with vulnerable people, and I vote to protect them as best I can. A vote for PP would not have been a vote to protect the most vulnerable I know, which in my eyes is what a society is meant to do.

My condolences. I hope you get the rest you need, too.

Fun fact: the Coca Cola Freestyle machine is designed by the Pininfarina company, of the same Pininfarina legacy of classic Italian car design fame.

I've sunk probably a thousand hours into Slay the Spire, have beaten Hades, and just finished Cult of the Lamb. Looking for something else to scratch that itch- preferably on switch. Any suggestions?

Update: Y'all convinced me. I bought Binding of Isaac and am excited to start. I also tried out Dead Cells via Netflix, but feel like I'd prefer it with a controller compared to mobile. Gonna start with Isaac, and wait for a sale on Dead Cells. Thank you for all the recommendations! I'm saving this thread for future reference.

I'm looking to build shelves beside my fireplace but need to trim my mantel width down to accomodate them.

I have access to a circular saw, a reciprocating saw and a jig saw. I could also get a router if needed.

This is from a diy website but they had this part done by a professional. I'm just curious how you would go about cutting this. What tools should I use?

Can't see the other side- if it's a 2 dimensional representation of a 3 dimensional object in can still be accurate because of perspective.

I mean, if an elephant dies what do they do with the body?

I don't think you can advocate for universal mental health care without universal health care. Mental health care is health care.

There's a reason where I am that a mental health clinician is part of the cancer team. Having just the therapy aspect covered would do nothing for people unable to treat their physical illnesses.

Promoting better accessibility of mental health care is reasonable- even places with universal coverage mental health lags behind. The tricky thing is that some people will refuse to access care even if its available. Its more visible in cases like this but happens all the time with other chronic illnesses like COPD and diabetes where it gets out of control and the person succumbs quietly.

I don't know where I'm going with this. I wish he had sought help and I wish that help was available. I'm glad no one else lost their lives in this case.

I read this in the voice of Death from Discworld. I didn't even realize I had an internal voice actor assigned to him.

I do the daily wordle, but lately have been liking the murdle and the hexcodle.

I've tried worldle, but I'm crap at geography. Probably a reason I should play more, but thems be the breaks.

Any recommendations?

Ah, I hope one day future civilizations dig up a Yelp review and we have our own Ea-Nasir, famous for serving cold garlic bread or something.

To me it looks like a training excercise. Electric car fires are different from ICE fires
