Not solarpunk themed but solarpunk inclined

It’s kinda hard to define exactly what can pass and what can’t when solarpunk itself is yet not popularly defined

Let’s say that the past title of the post was just not even solarpunk inclined, pushing markdown instead of bloat can kinda be

It was all a grey area, and anyway no one gets banned for an off topic meme anyway

Still, we’ll see how to be more clear, ty for the feedback

Rimu I love your approach to mod tools!

Sorry if I ask this but now that Lemmy has extism plugins, wouldn’t it be better if you tried to extend lemmy with your python skills rather than keeping to build from 0? Would help the fun even more I think (?)

[-] ex_06@slrpnk.net 7 points 3 days ago

Technically yes, but it’s not like there is spam so every now and then some memes (if not toxic or local) can pass 👍

can you edit the title? markdown can into solarpunk i think but the shame on the word processors users is a bit out of the line

still a grey area of a post tho lol

Apparently the forum systems you mention do/will indeed support ActivityPub. There would certainly be potential for interpretability with the threadiverse, then

Yes, there is also a working group specifically about “threadiverse” (even tho the lemmy devs don’t like the term)

Hence why my question :3

Hi! Another question about lemmy development.

Is lemmy working towards functioning more with discourse, flarum and nodebb federations?

I think that mastodon kinda fucked the fediverse and having a costellation of linked forums is much more powerful than microblogging so i'm interested in using lemmy as a forum more than a simple link aggregator

Do big chats on signal work well? I mean speed wise

[-] ex_06@slrpnk.net 6 points 5 days ago

so because he controls the means of production he gets to decide? is this capitalism? 😳😏🤓

[-] ex_06@slrpnk.net 5 points 5 days ago

Mod disapproved :3

I think it should go into solarpunk art or solarpunk propaganda

“Meme” it’s a very general concept ok, but here in the sub “memes” is clearly for the comedy ones lol

It’s just artwork with catchy slogan, no laugh involved u.u

Hi!

In the Apollo app (basically the reason i started using reddit and the reason i also left reddit lol) there was a very useful feature: friends.

It was not a mutual friendlist like facebook, and not even much of a follow like twitter; it was more a ''favorite users'' list.

Basically I added in there people that always commented stuff I was interested in and this helped me find new communities and interesting post without relying on other discovery ways. Seen the decentralized nature of lemmy, i think it could be even more useful than on reddit.

I’ve tried using simplex but it’s simply (ahah) too slow for groups

I like it privacy wise but I think it’s better for small groups (<10) and 1 on 1 chats

Big chats are kinda a scam anyway, they should be forums lol

https://cohost.org/roguecache just made a new solarpunk logo; i think it's very well designed and keeps the simplicity while still keeping sun, nature and technology meanings

i don't like sharing crowdfundings because there are a looooot of them; but i feel like this can be an exception for 3 reasons:

  • it's Gaza
  • i know that the hacker association behind it is more than honest
  • dulcis in fundo, looks like a very much solarpunk solution on a lot of fronts, it's not ''just'' the usual mutual aid :D

Out of touch also in feeling like it’s funny to post this shit

Even if it was true, would still be a cringe meme.

I hope that OP is just young and naive and not an old who thinks the world is divided like that
