We also need MOAR HORSE^TM^!
You're right! I'm not sure I'll manage to source another handle, though
You could. I'd gladly send you mine since I only use synthetic brushes nowadays.
Oh really? Would you like to trade it for a synth of mine?
Yes, I stand by that offer 100%.
Truth be told, the reason why I don't use it anymore is because it hurts to be reminded of the Reddit experiences that were great before everything went downhill with the API changes. Seeing the Reddit mascot on it pisses me off since it reminds me of a greedy asshole company, even though our subreddit used to be so cool. I know it's a bit absurd, but it's like continuing to use something your horrible Ex gifted you. 😅
You won't even need to part ways with one of your synths for it, tbh I'd be really glad to get rid of it and find a happy new owner for it.
Thanks! I'll gladly take you up on your offer! Please let me know how much I owe you in shipping!
If you don't want a brush in exchange, can I gift you a software in exchange?
Cool! Any project that involves a Dremel™ is automatically fun.
Did you save the boar hairs to make boarghetti?

I went with the competition, Proxxon™
Did you save the boar hairs to make boarghetti?
I'm sending them to Semaj, obviously 😉
Glad to see you were able to make my POS MOAR BOAR into something usable.
Totally! It's a big plush pillow of a brush. Very pleasant to use and lathers like a champ!
Nice project! I'm just now reading the post so sorry about asking about the knot size earlier. I've only used the sgrdddy method (heat/steam) to remove a knot. I'm not sure it will work with larger diameters though.
Thanks! I love how it turned out. Super enjoyable brush.
I didn't try the steam method because I was worried about damaging the handle. I think it's also some kind of epoxy, so I wasn't sure the glue would soften more than the handle😅
And I had no reason to try to keep the knot alive, so trying the mill route seemed like the smaller risk
I doubt that the steam method will work with knots set in epoxy but I have never tried it.
I've had the same reaction, but several discord members swear that the epoxy softenes significantly when steamed.
Significantly, the group includes Rob from Chisel and Hound who knows better than me 😅
Well, that’s good to know. He’s certainly an expert.
