Entirely Automated AI Powered News Site Runs on Linux AWS Server with Docker

For the last few months our team has been working on an entirely automated AI-powered news site. I am excited to announce that v1.0 is finally being released. This version includes full coverage with every article generated from 2 left leaning, 2 right leaning, and 2 neutral sources. We have also added an anonymous commenting system for people to share their opinions freely. Our servers are now running 24/7 so that new articles appear as they happen! Let me know what you guys think, as well as any comments/concerns/questions you have!

"Entirely powered AI news site" is the worst phrase ever

[-] TheFrirish@jlai.lu 6 points 1 year ago

Phrase sounds like it's pulled straight out of a dystopia.

I don't see how it could possibly go wrong!

Yeah but that's the only reason to place their ad here

[-] monobot@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

True, quite interesting that they posted it here.

At leaste they mentioned linux.

But why would you want a system to automatically lie to you?

You should probably actually say which 6 sources you're using. If we just have to take your word for the fact that it's 2 left, right, and centre sources, I'm going to assume that we have different opinions on what those words mean, and that it is indeed skewed to one side or another.

[-] neuraltimes@kbin.social 3 points 1 year ago

@the_postminimalist The 6 sources as well as their bias rankings are at the bottom of each article.

Thanks, I see it now. The left-leaning sources are what I would consider more centre. Neo-liberal and left are quite different. Seems like it's taking an approach closer to mainstream American politics, where Democrats are called left, but the rest of the world wouldn't.

Why do this? Sorry if this is too harsh, but this is a downright terrible idea. AI in it's current state is just fancy word prediction. It isn't accurate enough to use for news.

Judging by your other comments, you also don't seem to understand what is left wing. The US Democratic party is not left wing. They support the capitalist class just like the right. So if you use news sources like that, your entire project will have a right wing bias.

And that's even besides the point. Why the centrist stance? It's incredibly stupid to think that both the left and the right are equal. One side wants people like me dead while the other doesn't. Where is the middle ground there? To only half kill us? To kill only half of us? Is my desire to live and be myself too extreme to support?

Rethink this.

I don't really care they it runs on Linux, but the concept that it uses left- neutral-right sources useful.

Personally I don't really need that AI rewrites an article. I would probably prefer to read one of my usual sources, but would like to have an AI generated summary of differences in the other views. If those differences seem interesting I will just read those original articles.

Probably more difficult to base a business model on, but it would be a nice addition nonetheless for my RSS feed reader.

Why does markdown formatting apply to titles?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.
